Used Truck Sales Representative
About The Position
Under the supervision of the Used Truck Sales Manager, the Used Truck Salesman is responsible for selling used equipment, revenue generation, and achieving customer satisfaction. This position is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. The background check may include verification of criminal history, employment history, educational credentials, and professional references. Requirements
- Knowledge in the heavy truck-equipment industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- High energy level, self-starting and highly motivated
- Driver's license in good standing
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the sale of used trucks of all varieties in stock.
- Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face-to-face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, e-mail and networking.
- Maintains detailed and accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
- Gathers and submits detailed business information for pricing and presents solutions to identified prospects.
- Able to write accurate used truck appraisals.
- Helps to maintain the Used Truck lot.
- Other duties as assigned.
