About The Position

CFT Group is a growing Ottawa-based business group operating across scrap metal recycling, auto sales, trucking, self-storage, and real estate. As we expand, we regularly have heavy equipment, vehicles, and other assets available for resale — and we need a sharp, self-motivated salesperson to take full ownership of that process. You'll manage the full lifecycle of our used equipment and surplus asset sales — from listing to closing to removing sold items across all platforms. This role rewards people who are organized, professional, and hungry to perform. Top performers can expect to earn $75,000–$90,000+ annually through our quarterly performance bonus program.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in equipment sales, fleet remarketing, auto sales, or a related field
  • Excellent phone presence — professional, responsive, and persuasive
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented (nothing stays listed after it's sold)
  • Comfortable managing multiple listing platforms simultaneously
  • Self-starter who takes initiative without being asked
  • Valid driver's licence

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks, or automotive assets is a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Listing all surplus equipment for sale — excavators, buses, trucks, trailers, and more
  • Managing active listings across all platforms (company website, Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, equipment marketplaces, etc.)
  • Answering inbound calls and making outbound calls to qualify buyers and close sales
  • Coordinating equipment sales in the Toronto market
  • Removing sold items from all platforms promptly and accurately
  • Handling additional sales opportunities as they arise (used tires, parts, misc. inventory)
  • Keeping detailed records of listings, inquiries, and completed sales
  • Going above and beyond to represent CFT Group professionally at all times
