About The Position

Sterling CDJR South in Maurice, LA is looking for a Used Car Inspection (UCI) Technician to help prepare pre-owned vehicles for retail sale. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet quality and safety standards before being placed on the lot. The technician will perform routine maintenance and light to moderate repairs, playing a key role in delivering reliable, road-ready vehicles to customers.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years professional automotive repair experience
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Team-oriented with good communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

Inspect pre-owned vehicles and identify maintenance or repair needs.
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid services.
Complete light to moderate repairs and basic vehicle diagnostics.
Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure they're ready for sale.
Document inspections, completed repairs, and service recommendations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work closely with management to prioritize repairs and prepare vehicles for retail sale.
