About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Barrington is looking for an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to lead the growth, performance, and day-to-day success of our pre-owned vehicle department. The ideal candidate is a results-driven automotive retail leader with strong experience in import, luxury, or highline brands; a proven record of building successful sales teams; and the ability to achieve monthly sales, gross, inventory, and customer satisfaction goals.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of successful experience as a Used Car Manager at a high-volume franchise dealership.
Experience with dealership inventory and appraisal tools, including vAuto or similar dealer solutions.
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and customer service skills.
Proven record of achieving sales goals and maintaining positive CSI scores.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Must be willing to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Mercedes-Benz, luxury, import, or highline automotive experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of pre-owned inventory, including pricing, merchandising, aging, turn, and profitability.
Lead, coach, and support the pre-owned sales team, including assisting with customer turnover opportunities when needed.
Accurately appraise trade-ins and coordinate reconditioning to help maximize vehicle value and speed to market.
Oversee inventory control, lot presentation, digital advertising, vehicle readiness, and delivery processes in a professional and cost-effective manner.
Administer daily department operations and coordinate activities for pre-owned sales team members.
Partner with dealership leadership to meet monthly sales volume, gross profit, customer experience, and operational goals.
