About The Position

Hello Auto Group is building a used-car acquisition team for its three stores and needs someone with experience to lead it. The group has three stores: a Subaru and Mazda Campus in Temecula and a Mazda Store in San Diego. They require additional inventory to sustain double-digit year-over-year growth. The company prides itself on being a great new car retailer but has a strong passion for the used car department. Their look-to-book is above 50% at all stores, and trades are as important as sales. Sales pay plans are structured to weigh heavily towards used cars. Cars are turned quickly, with an average days in inventory of 21 days. The company is looking for an individual to help stock the lot with the right cars. This role is challenging and demanding, but the right individual will find it fun and rewarding. Hello Auto Group is a privately owned, family-run group with owners actively engaged in store operations. This role offers the opportunity to be a thought partner, working with the Owners, GMs, and Sales Managers to reach a common goal, rather than being in the used-car trailer buying cars everyone has an opinion about. With a strong foundation in place, the company is ready to accelerate its growth. This role requires at least two years of vehicle-buying experience and a proven track record. Experience with vAuto and CDK is preferred but not required. Requirements

• Two years of previous acquisition experience
• Solid understanding of Retail purchasing and merchandising
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required
• Multi-Tasking and high energy is a must for this position
• Responsible, ethical, and committed
• Previous sales success
• Assertive, High Energy, and Sociable a must

Responsibilities

• Ability to acquire inventory through multiple sources
• Ability to coordinate transportation
• Manage and coordinate reconditioning
• Train and develop an increased awareness of used inventory
• Manage online inventory from photos, descriptions, spotlight management
• Assist in appraisals at the sales desk and training Client Advisors on Used cars
