About The Position

Nebius is seeking an experienced and operationally focused USA Regional Transportation Security Lead to support and strengthen in-transit supply chain security operations across the United States. This is a senior individual contributor role, sitting directly beneath the USA Regional Transportation Security Manager and serving as the primary operational executor for transportation security across the US network. The Lead is responsible for the hands-on delivery of transportation security across US shipment lanes, owning day-to-day operational execution, conducting route and carrier assessments, managing active shipment monitoring, and responding to in-transit security incidents. Where the USA Regional Transportation Security Manager holds regional strategic ownership, the Lead owns the operational ground, ensuring that security controls are applied consistently, shipments move securely, and any deviations are identified and resolved with speed and precision. This role requires regular travel across the United States for carrier engagements, route assessments, and incident response. It is well suited to a security professional with strong field experience who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally intense environment and takes personal ownership of outcomes.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience in transportation security, logistics security, or in-transit supply chain operations
  • Strong operational background with proven ability to execute security controls across complex, multi-leg transportation movements
  • Experience conducting route assessments, carrier security evaluations, or field-based compliance checks
  • Demonstrated experience responding to in-transit security incidents, including immediate coordination and post-incident documentation
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong discipline around chain of custody documentation and operational records
  • Able to operate independently in the field with strong situational awareness and sound judgment under pressure
  • Good communication and coordination skills across internal teams and external logistics partners
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country in which they apply and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility as a condition of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-value or critical infrastructure transportation security (e.g., data centers, electronics, AI hardware, technology hardware)
  • Background in law enforcement, military, or corporate security with a field operations focus
  • Familiarity with TAPA TSR or equivalent transportation security standards
  • Familiarity with supply chain security technologies (e.g., GPS tracking, geofencing, real-time shipment monitoring platforms, tamper-evident sealing)
  • Experience operating across multiple US states or regions in a logistics or security operations capacity

Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day transportation security operations across US shipment lanes in support of the USA Regional Transportation Security Manager
  • Ensure the secure handling, packaging, and movement of high-value assets across all US transportation nodes, from origin handover through to final delivery
  • Monitor active US shipments in real time, using GPS tracking, geofencing, and monitoring platforms to maintain situational awareness and detect anomalies
  • Conduct pre-shipment security checks, verifying that packaging, sealing, tamper-evidence measures, and documentation meet NGSCS standards before assets enter transit
  • Oversee handover and transfer points across the US transportation network, ensuring chain of custody protocols are followed at every stage
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational records, shipment logs, and chain of custody documentation
  • Conduct security assessments of transportation routes across the United States, identifying vulnerabilities, high-risk segments, and improvement opportunities
  • Assess carrier and last-mile provider security practices on the ground, verifying compliance with NGSCS transportation security requirements
  • Support the USA Regional Transportation Security Manager in evaluating new carriers and routes, providing operational intelligence from field assessments
  • Identify emerging route risks or threat patterns and escalate findings promptly with recommended mitigations
  • Serve as the first operational responder to in-transit security incidents across the US, including theft, loss, diversion, tampering, and chain of custody breaches
  • Coordinate immediate incident response actions, liaising with carriers, logistics partners, and internal NGSCS stakeholders
  • Document incidents thoroughly and accurately, supporting investigation and post-incident review processes
  • Escalate complex or high-severity incidents to the USA Regional Transportation Security Manager with clear situational updates and recommended actions
  • Engage directly with carriers, freight forwarders, and last-mile providers across the US to reinforce NGSCS transportation security requirements
  • Identify compliance gaps during field engagements and work with partners to drive timely corrective action
  • Support the onboarding of new transportation partners by conducting operational security checks and verifying readiness against NGSCS standards
  • Act as a visible NGSCS presence in the field, reinforcing the message that security standards are non-negotiable
  • Provide regular operational updates and field intelligence to the USA Regional Transportation Security Manager
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of US transportation security procedures, drawing on field observations and operational experience
  • Identify recurring operational risks or process weaknesses and propose practical improvements
  • Support regional reporting on transportation security performance, risks, and incident trends
