About The Position

As the OBU DD&T Product Manager, Associate Director, leads product initiatives across Takeda’s US Oncology Business Unit (OBU). This role is focused on customer needs, strategic product roadmap development, and go-to-market planning to ensure products support business priorities and advance Takeda’s mission. You will work closely with DD&T’s Product Lead and business stakeholders to understand their strategic imperatives and translate them into integrated product roadmaps that define how DD&T can enable their functional strategies. You will lead product initiatives within the Takeda portfolio and may lead multiple product owners in an effort to promote a unified vision. You will partner with US and Global OBU Patient Value & Access teams to shape and deliver the broader Data, Digital & Technology strategy and agenda. This role sits within the OBU & USBU DD&T organization and reports to the Head of Patient Services, Access & Medical Capabilities, USBU & OBU Data, Digital & Technology (DD&T).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field. Advance degrees preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Product Management experience in medical, access, digital, or a related field within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Proven leadership experience managing globally distributed teams, working effectively in a matrix environment, and collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Experience executing projects using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, with hands-on experience using Jira requiring minimal guidance.
  • Advanced understanding of digital medical and access platforms including but not limited to Veeva and Salesforce Life Sciences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, key stakeholders, and end users.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, including the ability to align digital product development with business priorities and communicate that strategy clearly.
  • US Perspective: Experience working within the US market with proven understanding of the Oncology space.
  • Travel up to 15%; international and domestic

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, design, development, and launch of complex CRM products, including hybrid hub and vendor-supported workflows.
  • Translate OBU business strategy into digital product roadmaps and solutions aligned to DD&T priorities, enterprise architecture, data standards, and operating model expectations.
  • Develop and maintain product vision, roadmap, priorities, scope, requirements, features, acceptance criteria, expected outcomes, and value measures in partnership with OBU business stakeholders and cross-functional DD&T teams.
  • Support prioritization and planning discussions by evaluating trade-offs, dependencies, risks, timelines, business impact, and value realization.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations regarding product priorities, delivery timelines, constraints, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Lead and guide Product Owners to ensure delivery is coordinated, usable, and aligned to shared product, platform, and business objectives.
  • Foster a product culture grounded in customer-centric thinking, transparency, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the content authority for product features and support Agile Release Train planning, delivery alignment, system demos, and inspect-and-adapt activities.
  • Proactively understand business and technology needs across OBU Patient Services, Medical, Value Access, and Market Access, and help shape DD&T priorities.
  • Identify high-priority issues, assess customer and business impact, and partner with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Define KPIs and value measures to track product adoption, performance, business outcomes, and DD&T impact.
  • Partner across business, technology, data, analytics, architecture, and platform teams to deliver measurable value while ensuring adherence to governance, architecture, data, and delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with the US OBU Business Partner and Global OBU Medical & Access Business Partner to create synergy across the OBU portfolio and support pipeline acceleration.
  • Partner with the USBU Product team to identify shared Salesforce platform opportunities, reduce duplication, improve scalability, and strengthen platform-level synergies.
  • Explore emerging trends, technologies, and innovation opportunities to support high-value digital and data proof-of-concepts and strategic use cases.
