About The Position

This position will be a hybrid role typically operating 3 days per week remotely with two days in the office, an “Anchor Day” of Wednesday and one day of the individuals choosing at the Plymouth Meeting, PA location. The applicant is responsible for transportation to and from their primary site as needed. This role will be approximately a 6-month assignment in the Fall of 2026 through Spring of 2027, roughly September through March. This co-op is targeted for Drexel University students but others will be considered. The US Supply Chain Operations department consists of 2 branches: Distribution & Logistics Operations, Demand Planning & Fulfillment. This role supports the US Distribution & Logistics Operations branch which acts as the steward for all foreign trade and domestic distribution related activities related to the US market. We work with the US external manufacturing sites and distribution center to facilitate imports, exports, inbound receiving, material storage, order fulfillment and outbound distribution to customers. Our goal is to simplify operations to remove waste, decrease costs, and deliver a best-in-class experience for our customers. The co-op will gain exposure to foreign trade and distribution operations while partnering with adjacent organizations such as Trade Operations, Procurement, Regulatory Material Compliance and External Manufacturing as needed.

Requirements

  • Hard skills such as Power BI, SAP (Materials Management/Sales & Distribution) and advanced Excel functionality.
  • The ability to analyze information and implement practical data-driven solutions.
  • Effectively collaborating with groups that may have competing interests.
  • Gain insights into the distribution and logistics workings of a global healthcare organization.
  • Mentorship and valuable soft skills in a corporate setting.
  • Public speaking and presentations skills in a safe, low risk environment.
  • A foundation of analytical skills with the ability to examine data to draw conclusions.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables, Power BI, or SAP would be a bonus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in either of the following while having future interest or previous experience in the Supply Chain field: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related Business Field. Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related Engineering field.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, creating, and implementing continuous process improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting inventory alignment between Organon and the US distribution center.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc issues that facilitate distributing products to customers on time and in full.
  • Creating and improving standard business practices and job aids to support talent development.
  • Participating in opportunities for social outreach.
