About The Position

Creates customs documentation, monitors in-bond movements, export closures, inventory reconciliations and operational exceptions while providing exceptional customer service and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Serves as a key liaison between clients, customs brokers, carriers, and the warehouse to ensure efficient, discrepancy-free operations in accordance with CBP and customer requirements, ensuring customs compliance, accurate application of regulations, and precise document control.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of experience in logistics, international trade, or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical understanding of international commerce.
  • Understanding of Customs compliance and use of regulatory platforms (ACE).
  • Bilingual, English-Spanish is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor import and export operations between the United States and Mexico.
  • Prepare, review, and process customs documentation for import, export, bonded warehouse, in-bond, and transportation shipments.
  • Validate customs documents, including entry summaries, invoices, manifests, packing lists, certificates of origin, bonds, and shipping instructions.
  • Prepare CBP Forms 62, Transportation and Exportation (T&E) documents, and other required customs forms.
  • Coordinate customs clearance and ensure timely release and export closure.
  • Monitor bonded shipments, open in-bonds, General Order shipments, and warehouse entries to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, warehouse personnel, customers, and internal teams to facilitate shipment processing.
  • Track shipment status and communicate delays, exceptions, or issues to the appropriate parties.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. and international trade regulations, including CBP requirements, 19 CFR, 18 CFR, USMCA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Follow up with carriers, brokers, customers, and internal departments to prevent bond violations and resolve shipment issues.
  • Identify, document, and report compliance concerns, shipment discrepancies, and high-risk activities.
  • Assist with internal and external compliance audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
  • Prepare operational, compliance, and technical reports for management and other departments.
  • Collaborate with the Finance department to support billing and service invoicing.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
