About The Position

The Customs Brokerage Post Summary Specialist is a subject matter expert responsible for managing and resolving post-entry activities related to U.S. Customs. A strong sense of ownership and pride over principal duties is required. This role continually provides opportunities to work independently and collaboratively to achieve entire perspective results.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years working in a Customs brokerage environment
  • A working knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) import requirements is required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products – command of Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
  • Strong communication and client service skills – verbal and written is required.
  • Problem solving, accuracy, strong attention to detail and analytical ability is required.
  • High School Diploma required.

Nice To Haves

  • LCB or CCS certification an asset
  • College or University Degree is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding post-entry requests; prioritize and respond to technical inquiries in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner in a deadline-driven environment where adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulatory timelines is critical.
  • Manage the intake of post-entry activities, including reviewing and analyzing entry data to determine eligibility. This may involve identifying errors, omissions, compliance risks, or responding to client requests.
  • Validate supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to submission to Post Entry Specialists.
  • Track the status of open cases and follow up with clients and internal teams as needed.
  • Communicate with clients regarding discrepancies, duty changes, or compliance updates.
  • Log all post-entry activities into the company’s case management system with precision and consistency.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with CBP requirements and company policies.
  • Stay informed on CBP regulations, rulings, and trade policy updates that impact the post-entry process and the Willson International client base.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
