About The Position

AIT Worldwide Logistics is currently seeking a Customs Entry Specialist. The ideal candidate will have Customs Brokerage/Import/Export or CHB entry writer experience, as well as one year of customer service/general office/data entry experience. This role involves administrative tasks in the import operations department, servicing clients and their suppliers, providing customer service, and maintaining revenues from the client base and contracted vendors. Responsibilities include file breakdown, data entry, photocopying, scanning, assembling entries, import air recoveries, check cutting, and delivery order creation. The position also requires auditing commercial documents, applying harmonized tariff schedule codes for accurate duty assessment, and ensuring all federal requirements are met. Document review and assessment of accuracy, verifying country of origin/export, IOR, terms of sale, and value are crucial for compliance and federal regulation achievement. Daily follow-up on documentation discrepancy issues requires troubleshooting and effective communication with customers and foreign origins. Other tasks may be assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • Customs Brokerage/Import/Export or CHB entry writer experience
  • One year of customer service/general office/data entry experience

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of Entry Writing; 1 to 2 years in CHB or Imports

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Project a professional image to the customer and to represent AIT in a positive manner

Responsibilities

  • All other tasks as assigned by supervisor and or manager.
