About The Position

This role is responsible for establishing and leading the US commercial efforts in myopia management. The position is accountable for myopia management sales and represents the needs of the US marketplace, eye care professionals, and customers to the broader Vision Care organization. The US Commercial Lead will lead a team of Myopia Clinical Sales Consultants, collaborating with Professional Affairs, Marketing, and Key Accounts professionals to develop and implement plans for growing myopia management within the Johnson & Johnson Vision portfolio in the US. This involves leading the team to interact with established customers and develop new prospects, consulting on clinical benefits, implementation, and selling of the organization’s products, competitive focus, and maximizing business. The role requires cross-functional collaboration to ensure myopia management initiatives align with broader commercial strategies and customer engagement approaches. The individual must maintain advanced clinical knowledge of myopia, scientific advancements, and the business landscape, and lead the determination of market potential, sales forecasts, and business plans. They will oversee the recruitment, development, coaching, and performance management of direct reports, and be accountable for achieving US myopia sales and business objectives. This includes ownership of sales volume, revenue, market share, quota attainment, and forecast tracking, with a focus on optimizing outcomes and driving sustainable growth. The role also guides account targeting and resource allocation strategies, partners with Sales Training and Education teams to design and deliver training programs, and serves as a change leader to motivate and inspire teams through organizational evolution. Additionally, the role includes responsibility for Fleet Safety training and managing the maintenance of organization's cars and equipment, as well as adhering to Health Care Compliance expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Significant track record of success (8+ years) achieving results in Sales, Marketing and leadership roles in a healthcare environment required.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of sales applications and principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, business acumen, managing conflict, written and oral communication skills are required.
  • A valid driver’s license issued the United States is required.
  • The ability to travel as needed, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies including talent acquisition and development, ability to challenge the status quo and lead change, and ability to forge internal collaboration across all levels of the enterprise.
  • Proven leadership ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams across a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability in business strategy and financial management.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a medical device business is preferred.
  • Knowledge of myopia management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and leading the US commercial efforts in myopia management.
  • Representing the needs of the US marketplace, eye care professionals and customers to the broader Vision Care organization.

  • Leading the US Myopia Clinical Sales Consultant team to represent the organization by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects.
  • Consulting on clinical benefits, implementation, and selling of the organization’s products, competitive focus, and maximizing business with all customers.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally across the Vision Care organization to ensure myopia management initiatives are aligned with broader commercial strategies, customer engagement approaches, and portfolio priorities, maximizing value for customers and the business.
  • Maintaining advanced clinical knowledge of myopia, advancements in science and evidence in this emerging category, and the business landscape.
  • Leading the determination of region market potential, annual sales forecasts, business plans, and partnering with marketing on demand generation aligned to regional strategies, direction, and execution.
  • Overseeing the recruitment, development, coaching, and overall performance management of direct reports.
  • Achieving US myopia sales and business objectives, including ownership of sales volume, revenue, market share, quota attainment, forecast tracking, and other key performance indicators; evaluate results against plan, communicate business performance, and drive actions to optimize outcomes and deliver sustainable growth.
  • Guiding account targeting and resource allocation strategies, including customer prioritization and deployment of commercial tools and programs, to maximize business impact and accelerate adoption.
  • Partnering with Sales Training and Education teams to design and deliver training programs that enhance product knowledge, customer engagement, selling effectiveness, and commercial execution, supporting achievement of sales and business performance goals.
  • Serving as a change leader, motivating and inspiring teams through organizational and business evolution, building commitment to new initiatives, and ensuring effective execution of strategic priorities.
  • Being responsible for Fleet Safety training as well as the proper maintenance of organization's cars and equipment in their district.
  • Being aware and managing the current Health Care Compliance expectations and direction.
