About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking a qualified BC/BE Urologist to join their staff. This is an opportunity to join an established group of 6 MDs and 7 Advanced Practice Clinicians within a 180-bed Primary Hospital with a Level III Trauma Center. The role offers an instant referral base from over 100 Primary Care Clinicians and full support staff, including APCs, with opportunities for interaction with Surgical Residents and Medical Students. Call responsibility is limited to the Primary Hospital, with APCs taking first inpatient call. The facility boasts state-of-the-art ORs, including one dedicated to the Xi DaVinci Surgical System. The position is within the Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system serving an 8-county region and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Requirements

• MD, DO or MBBS
• BC/BE in Urology
• Completion of an accredited USA Urology Residency
• New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• Strong teamwork, patient-centered approach, and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary academic setting.

Responsibilities

• Join an established group of 6 MD’s and 7 Advanced Practice Clinicians
• Provide care within a 180 Bed Primary Hospital with Level III Trauma Center
• Utilize an instant referral base provided by over 100 Primary Care Clinicians
• Work with full support staff including APC’s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction
• Participate in call responsibility limited to the Primary Hospital with APC’s taking 1st Inpatient Call
• Utilize State of the Art OR’s with one devoted to the Xi DaVinci Surgical System
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons
