Full-Time Urology PA/NP
About The Position
Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital and Merrimack Urology Associates are seeking a full-time Inpatient Urology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their collaborative urology team. This position will provide inpatient urologic care across their Main and Saints Campuses. Merrimack Urology Associates practices nearly all aspects of Urology, including oncology, endoscopic stone procedures, laparoscopy and robotics, MRI guided prostate biopsies, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, BPH, female urology, and basic pediatric urology. As part of Tufts Medicine, Lowell General Hospital offers the opportunity to have an academic appointment within Tufts University School of Medicine, with a wide variety of teaching activities available. The practice serves a large and diverse community and is integrated within the Tufts Medicine Health System.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited and/or approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Background in Urology through prior advanced practice experience, or clinical rotations
- Current certification in CPR
- A team player who is excited to work cooperatively with a wide range of stakeholders and disciplines to champions world class patient satisfaction and support
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient urologic care across Main and Saints Campuses.
- Serve as a member of a large and diverse team in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide cutting-edge and patient-focused care.
- Provide specialty and subspecialty care to the Greater Lowell community.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Oncology and others.
- Perform office-based cystoscopies, TRUS Bx’s, vasectomies and offer in-house ultrasounds performed by certified sonographers.
- Utilize a state-of-the-art Endourology Suite, a DaVinci Xi Robot, and dedicated Urology staff with easy access to MRI guided prostate biopsies and ESWLs in the OR at Lowell General Hospital’s Main Campus.
