About The Position

Provides quality healthcare in collaboration with other health care providers in an outpatient clinic/practice. This role has an outpatient focus, but the team also provides first assist and inpatient care. The position involves a high patient volume and the ability to perform in-office procedures and practice full scope urology.

Requirements

  • For Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC certification required.
  • For Physician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required (for Nurse Practitioner)
  • Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required (for Physician Assistant)

Responsibilities

  • Performs history and physical assessments.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Order, conduct and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests
  • Involved in teaching and counseling individuals, families and groups
  • Performs minor surgical procedures.
  • Periodic hospital rounding
  • Performs other functions as required.
