About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Urologist in Pendleton, OR. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, including clinical duties and call coverage. The reason for coverage is a vacancy due to the current urologist transitioning to a Urology Hospitalist role. The position requires managing a daily volume of at least 17 patients in clinic, in addition to performing surgeries. The case mix includes general urology procedures such as circumcision, cystoscopy, TURP, and ureteroscopy. The facility is a Level IV trauma center with support staff including a Clinic MA, perioperative nurses, and RNs. Hospital privileges are required, with a credentialing timeline of 60-90 days. The role requires an active OR license (or eligibility), an active DEA, and BLS certification. Board certification or eligibility is also required.

Requirements

• BC/BE (if just out of residency & will get BC within 12 months)
• Active OR license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Active DEA
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Attend to clinic patients, managing a minimum of 17 patients per day
• Perform surgical procedures (as listed) in hospital and clinic settings
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for hospital emergencies and admissions Monday through Thursday
• Manage urological conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Collaborate with support staff including MAs, perioperative nurses, and clinic RNs
