About The Position
MDPerm is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist to provide comprehensive urological care at the Fargo VA Medical Center. This position offers a structured weekday schedule with a strong surgical and outpatient practice supporting Veteran patient care. The Urologist will provide outpatient clinic care, consultations, inpatient rounding, and surgical procedures within a collaborative VA healthcare environment. This role focuses on delivering high-quality urological care to Veterans while maintaining compliance with VA standards and clinical protocols.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted physician license in any U.S. state or territory
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology (ABU)
- Completion of an approved Urology residency program with at least 3 years devoted to urological surgery
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Current DEA registration
- Current NPI number
- Malpractice insurance coverage is required
- Must maintain all continuing education and credentialing requirements
Nice To Haves
- North Dakota license preferred
- Robotics certification is preferred
- Comfortable performing major lymphatic and abdominal procedures
- Comfortable performing prostate, urethral, ureter, bladder, kidney, penis, scrotum, and testes procedures
- Comfortable performing endoscopic procedures
- Comfortable performing fluoroscopy
- Comfortable performing Holmium laser procedures
- Comfortable performing ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in the urology outpatient clinic
- Perform inpatient rounding for urology patients
- Conduct consultations and coordinate specialty referrals as needed
- Perform procedures including: Cystoscopies, Vasectomies, Scrotal surgeries, Ureteroscopies, Transurethral procedures for prostate disease and bladder cancer
- Provide general urological care and management
- Perform specialty examinations related to urological conditions, including Compensation & Pension (C&P) evaluations when applicable
- Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions for surgical and clinical patients
- Follow all VA medication policies and procedures
