About The Position

This is an ongoing coverage need for a Urology MD/DO. The role involves inpatient and clinic coverage at three facilities in Pennsylvania: New Castle, Hermitage, and Farrell. The provider will work at only one location per day. The position requires providing comprehensive medical care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. Responsibilities include conducting patient histories, physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, managing ongoing patient care, and collaborating with healthcare teams. The role also requires accurate documentation, compliance with facility policies, and staying current with medical advancements. The provider must be able to adapt to new clinical environments and electronic medical record systems.

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania licensure
  • Board certification
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 3-years Urology experience or equivalent
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Board certification in Urology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients across a variety of clinical settings, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
  • Conduct thorough patient histories, physical examinations, and clinical assessments
  • Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing including laboratory work, imaging, and other studies as appropriate
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions within scope of practice
  • Manage ongoing patient care, including follow-up evaluations and coordination of treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical findings accurately and in compliance with facility standards
  • Respond to patient concerns and provide education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, credentialing requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Adapt quickly to new clinical environments, workflows, and electronic medical record systems
  • Stay current on medical advancements, clinical guidelines, and best practices through continuing medical education and professional development
