About The Position
We are seeking a Urologist for a permanent position in Albany, NY. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, focusing on a high-volume bladder cancer population, including muscle-invasive and complex disease. The position requires expertise in radical cystectomy and urinary diversion, with access to DaVinci Xi and DV5 robots. Support staff includes PAs for inpatient care and OR first-assist. Occasional call coverage may be required depending on the surgical schedule, but there is no trauma coverage.
Requirements
- Active NY license or willingness to obtain.
- Board Certified in Urology with fellowship or significant experience in urologic oncology.
- DEA.
- NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
- Cannot clear local candidates within 30 miles.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and surgical care for urology patients.
- Manage a high-volume bladder cancer population, including muscle-invasive and complex disease.
- Perform radical cystectomy and urinary diversion procedures.
- Utilize DaVinci Xi and DV5 robots for surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with PAs for inpatient care and OR first-assist.
- Participate in occasional call coverage as needed.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient services.
