BluePearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA (North Hills) is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our team in a large referral setting which includes seven criticalists combined at our three Pittsburgh locations offering you the opportunity to practice the highest standard of quality medicine and patient care. About BluePearl, Pittsburgh (North Hills): Comprehensive multi-specialty and referral hospital in Western Pennsylvania with over 30 specialists in 10 different specialties. 35,000 square-foot facility opened in 2008 and offers several advanced treatment and diagnostic services, including high-field 1.5T MRI, on-site 64 slice CT, linear accelerator, 4 ultrasound machines, video endoscopy, digital radiography, C-arm fluoroscopy, ECG telemetry, and dedicated suites for endoscopy, ultrasound, and oncology. Large referral setting which includes 7 criticalists combined at our Pittsburgh hospital locations (North Hills in Pittsburgh, PA, South Hills in Washington, PA, and Monroeville. PA). House officer program consisting of rotating interns, emergency and critical care interns and residents, and surgical interns and residents, leading to a collaborative team offering high quality medicine and patient care. Additional services such as blood bank (https://bluepearlvet.com/blood-bank/ ), comprehensive in-house laboratory with commercial grade equipment, and pharmacy.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree required.
- Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care preferred but not required.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
