About The Position
AcutePet Urgent Care is opening a new facility in White Oak, OH this August and is seeking founding veterinarians to establish the hospital's workflows, culture, and standards. This role offers the variety of emergency medicine without the overnight burnout, focusing on urgent care cases. The West Side of Cincinnati has a strong need for accessible urgent/emergent support, with existing GP relationships and a loyal pet-owning population. The hospital will be designed to provide timely care, support GP teams, and offer veterinarians a sustainable practice environment. This is an opportunity to help define a new urgent care facility from the ground up, with a voice in its operations and culture.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent)
- Interest in urgent care or emergency-style diagnostics
- Strong clinical reasoning and thoughtful patient care
- Clear, compassionate client communication
- All experience levels welcome

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality urgent care medicine.
- Handle ER-style case variety including lacerations, minor trauma, GI obstruction workups, toxin ingestions, acute vomiting/diarrhea, and urgent diagnostics and stabilization.
- Collaborate with primary care veterinarians and serve as a trusted partner.
- Establish the clinical tone and culture of the hospital.
- Participate in defining workflows and operational standards.
- Communicate compassionately with clients.
- Engage in dedicated mentorship time and structured growth conversations.
