About The Position

Denver Health & Hospital Authority (DHHA) is recruiting for a BC/BE Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine physician at their Adult Urgent Care Center located in downtown Denver, Colorado. This is a Federally Qualified Health Care site that manages approximately 35,000 patients annually. The clinic offers a wide array of on-site consultant services and diagnostic testing, including bedside ultrasound, in-clinic X-ray and CT, US and MRI services. The clinic operates 7 days a week from 7 am to 7 pm. The role offers opportunities to teach residents and utilizes a high-functioning EMR (EPIC) with Dragon Dictation Devices in a collaborative clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree
  • Graduation from an Accredited Medical School.
  • MD-Physician - State Medical Board
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
  • Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
  • Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
  • Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze records, examination information, or test results to diagnose medical conditions.
  • Assess patients' pain levels or sedation requirements.
  • Collect and record patient information, such as medical history or examination results.
  • Communicate likely outcomes of medical diseases or traumatic conditions to patients or their representatives.
  • Conduct primary patient assessments that include information from prior medical care.
