About The Position
Stopwatch Urgent Care is hiring a full-time Urgent Care Physician for our Troy clinic. Troy is a welcoming college town in southeast Alabama, home to Troy University, about an hour south of Montgomery with an affordable cost of living. The physician will be the physician on shift and make their own clinical decisions, backed by established protocols, a dedicated clinic team, and clinical leadership. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation. Schedules are published in advance through a self-scheduling app, and extra shifts are easy to pick up.
Requirements
- MD or DO licensed in Alabama, or eligible for licensure
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- Current BLS and ACLS
- DOT Medical Examiner certification, or willingness to complete within 6 weeks of start (training provided)
Nice To Haves
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and episodic conditions.
- Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals.
- Order and interpret in-house labs and imaging.
- Prescribe, educate patients, and complete same-day charting in Experity EMR.
