About The Position

A dedicated group of health care providers practicing on the Eastside of Lake Washington since 1972, we became Evergreen Emergency Services (EES) in 2001. Under general supervision, is responsible for the medical care of urgent care patients. Treats patients in Urgent Care Clinics (UC) to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary.

Requirements

Master's Degree from an accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner program or graduation from a Physician Assistant (PA) Training Program accredited by the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education
Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant with a current valid, full and unrestricted license in Washington State
Current BLS and ACLS
Maintains Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
Minimum two years of acute care experience required
No more than twelve (12) months since last work assignment preferred
Familiarity with standard UC concepts, practices, and procedures.
Prior use of an EMR and ability to learn a new system.

Responsibilities

Works collaboratively and supportively with members of the medical staff to provide quality, urgent care medical services for all patients who present to the UC.
Provides leadership at the clinic and contributes to a positive work environment, working cooperatively with other clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure access, quality, and effective use of services.
Treats patients to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, request necessary tests and follow-up visits.
As necessary, stabilizes patient and coordinates transportation of patient to tertiary care centers.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Completes chart documentation in a timely manner.
Participates in the life of the company and the community.
Vigorously engages in his/her own professional development; is a life-long learner who enhances his/her skills, using state-of-the-art technologies to maintain high standards of performance to work efficiently and effectively.
Is familiar with and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the company’s documents.
