About The Position
Peachtree Immediate Care is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team in Fayetteville, GA. This role offers the opportunity to practice with autonomy, treat a broad range of patients, and make a meaningful impact in the community. The provider will evaluate and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries, perform procedures, interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, educate patients and families, and document encounters. Collaboration with clinical and operational team members is key to providing a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
- Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
- Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
- Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
- Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
- Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
- Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Georgia regulations and clinic protocols
- Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
- Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience
