About The Position

We are hiring a compassionate, courteous, efficient Advanced Practice Provider who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. Our clinics provide a professional, team-based culture with strong clinical support and competitive compensation and benefits. The role involves managing episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up. It also includes performing various physicals, evaluating patients for workers’ compensation injuries, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.

Requirements

Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment

Responsibilities

Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols
Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience
