About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to address a staffing shortage in a high-acuity urgent care setting. The initial term is for 3 months, with an immediate start. The role involves delivering urgent care services for all age groups, conducting various procedures, and managing a diverse caseload. The position requires weekend availability and involves working with a supportive team including LPNs, RNs, MAs, and Emergency Medicine physicians. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
Requirements
- Emergency Room (ER) experience is essential.
- Must be Board Certified.
- Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association.
- Active Colorado state licensure is mandatory.
Nice To Haves
- High-acuity urgent care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver urgent care services for all age groups.
- Conduct procedures, including suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, and toenail removal.
- Handle a diverse caseload typical of urgent care.
