About The Position

Progressive Community Health Centers is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its Urgent Care location in Milwaukee, WI. The organization offers a range of services including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Women's Health, Urgent Care, Dental, and Integrated Behavioral Health, along with supportive services like case management, health education, and benefits enrollment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
• Currently licensed in the state of Wisconsin
• At least one year of clinical experience
• Must have the patience and tact to deal with the patient population and the ability to work effectively in the urgent care environment.
• A minimum commitment of 1 weekend/month is required.
• All employees, employed providers and volunteers are vaccinated. All hired candidates must submit proof of vaccination prior to their orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an urgent care or emergency department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent health care for individuals under the supervision of a licensed physician.
• Elicit detailed patient histories and conduct complete physician examinations.
• Reach diagnosis independently and in consultation with a collaborating Physician, as well as other staff physicians when appropriate.
