About The Position

Hartford HealthCare, Connecticut's most comprehensive healthcare network, is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our thriving Urgent Care team in Norwalk, Connecticut. Practice Urgent Care in a collaborative environment with exceptional clinical support, advanced technology, and seamless access to specialists across one of New England's premier healthcare organizations. As an Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider, you will work collaboratively with experienced physicians and APP colleagues while practicing the full scope of your training and expertise. You will evaluate and treat a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries, providing timely, patient-centered care in a highly respected urgent care network.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Connecticut APRN or PA license (or eligibility)
• FNP Board Certification or NCCPA Certification
• Minimum of two years of Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or comparable acute care experience
• Comfortable treating patients of all ages

Nice To Haves

• Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine experience
• Occupational Medicine experience
• DOT certification or experience performing DOT physicals

Responsibilities

• Treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
• Laceration repair, suturing, and staple removal
• Incision and drainage procedures
• Splinting and casting
• Wound care management
• EKG interpretation
• Preliminary X-ray interpretation
• IV therapy and medication administration
• DOT, occupational, sports, and school physicals
• Care for patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics
