About The Position
Assist Urban REAP Director with Community Programming and Outreach, including our Compost Program, Community Weekend Activities, and our Education Programs. MUST BE ELIGIBLE for FEDERAL WORK-STUDY. This is off-campus employment, so reliable transportation is important.
Requirements
- Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study
- Reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Background in Environmental Studies, Ecology, Biology, Education, Public Health, or similar
- Bilingual Spanish
Responsibilities
- Creating educational curriculum, materials, and videos for online and onsite access
- Plan & implement lesson plans for our after school programming for children & youth
- Creating monthly community programming activities (“Discovery Activities”) for visitors to do to learn about Urban REAP themes
- Researching curriculum & resources to enhance our educational materials onsite & online
- Contribute to our social media with regular posts
- Create videos or other educational material to share with the community
- Assisting with general community outreach
- Assisting with other tasks and projects as needed for Urban REAP operations
