About The Position

The Utilization Review (UR) Intake Specialist provides staff support to the Utilization Review / Case Management department and CorVel. The role includes typing reports and correspondence, handling files, completing forms, and answering incoming telephone calls. This is a remote position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet designated deadlines.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets.
• Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain poised in stressful situations and communicate diplomatically through all methods of communication.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• A.A. degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes calls relating to precertification requests.
• Verifies that patient, provider, and facility information entered in the system is accurate and up to date.
• Enters notes and service requests in the CareMC system.
• Communicates with stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
