About The Position

Product Managers are collaborators and leaders with a passion for driving business results in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will get involved with virtually every aspect of the business and are responsible for important supplier partnerships. This position requires an analytical thinker with experience in data-driven marketing, strong supplier management capabilities, an entrepreneurial mindset and someone that is comfortable owning and executing projects from start-to-finish. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of three to five years product/marketing management experience within a value-added distribution industry, business-to-business selling environment, or the health care products industry.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management a plus
  • Prior healthcare experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with product/category management, product positioning, customer segmentation, pricing, communication and marketing strategies
  • Ability to think strategically and understand the big picture, but also execute with strong attention to the details
  • Excellent project management skills – organize and coordinate multiple stakeholders to deliver projects on time with high quality
  • Strong business acumen with advanced planning and forecasting capabilities including exceptional financial and analytical skills
  • Ability to pull together and analyze data to articulate trends and provide insights that drive the business
  • Experience with effective supplier relationship management
  • Understanding of new product launch processes coupled with an innovative, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, influence and communicate at all levels
  • Translate and communicate business and market needs to achieve alignment among stakeholders
  • Experience working with and directing creative strategies and tactics
  • Experience working with contracts from creating and redlining to negotiating and finalizing agreements
  • Microsoft Office Suite and CRM with strong Excel analytical skills and advanced PowerPoint capabilities
  • Ability to independently manage all aspects of the job role including required goals and business practices in a remote environment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Accounting, and Operations to ensure the accurate tracking and management of revenue, COGS, and marketing spend
  • Develop, present and implement portfolio business plans for assigned product portfolio and market channels including management of pricing, supplier relationships, go-to-market strategies, and product positioning
  • Create, execute and manage marketing programs to enhance the organization’s presence and status in the marketing; includes online initiatives, advertising, sales force support materials, trade show marketing efforts, and vendor marketing programs
  • Utilize sales data, market data, pricing strategies, customer segmentation and competitive intelligence to identify new opportunities and markets to support the expansion of new products and channels that drive new revenue streams and build brand equity
  • Perform market research to uncover customer needs
  • Work with Manufacturer Partners to develop cross-promotional activities
  • Contribute to sales rep clinical training programs and product training
  • Monitor the marketplace and competition, perform market and competitive analysis, and adjust marketing plans and initiatives accordingly
  • Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of multiple product lines
  • Analyze business developments and monitor market trends.
  • Conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products and services
  • Manage the development and distribution of collateral materials
  • Lead clinical training programs and product training
  • Provide support for various departmental projects as directed by Director of Product Management
  • Additional job duties as assigned
