About The Position
The Brook Hill School is seeking an Upper School Math Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Teachers at The Brook Hill School report to the Principal of their teaching area and are responsible for the proper care of students, subject matter, and equipment, all while integrating a Christian worldview. Teachers are expected to collaborate to ensure an excellent overall academic program. New faculty contracts begin on August 1, 2026, and the school year concludes before Memorial Day 2027. Faculty are typically expected to be on campus from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The faculty contract runs from August 1 to July 31, which aligns with the bi-monthly payment schedule and health benefits plan year for eligible employees. Responsibilities
- Establish and adjust course outlines and objectives by following curriculum guidelines and school goals; modify plans on the basis of student-driven data through assessments and feedback.
- Convey information to students by using language concepts, examples, demonstrations, and teaching aids, while integrating technology effectively.
- Maintain student-learning results by providing instructional feedback, coaching, and counseling to provide opportunities for student growth.
- Maintain records by documenting learning accomplishments, attendance, and behavior.
- Manage and create an intentionally inviting classroom.
- Guide students’ personal and social development by establishing rules and procedures.
- Consistently partner and communicate with parents in the shared desire of student growth and success by providing academic information, suggesting educational and social resources, and addressing parents’ concerns.
- Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration with Brook Hill team members in order to strengthen student performance and support.
- Continue professional and technical growth by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Participate in the broader ministry of Brook Hill by contributing time, talent and treasure beyond assigned role and responsibilities.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
