About The Position

Friends' Central School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math teacher for a maternity leave position in the Upper School (grades 9-12). This role begins in mid-October 2026 and concludes in early March 2027. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching various math courses, particularly Algebra II, and a strong commitment to working with Upper School students. The position involves developing and coordinating math curricula, designing instruction and assessments, collaborating with parents, and contributing to the school's commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and Quaker values.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to teach a range of math courses.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related fields.
• 3-5 years of teaching experience.
• Dexterity for office machines and supply operation including but not limited to writing, using electronic devices, computer, phone, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and printers.
• Stooping, bending, reaching and sitting or standing for extended periods of time are common.

• Experience teaching Algebra II.
