About The Position

Teach students (9-12) in a specific subject matter in a classroom setting through a kingdom mindset and a biblical worldview. As a ministry of FBC the mission of CCS is to inspire students and families to follow Jesus.

Requirements

  • Uphold Biblical priorities through a growing personal relationship with Jesus.
  • Become an active member of FB Concord
  • Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
  • Encompass the qualities and characteristics of Concord staff members as outlined in our Staff Values.
  • Bachelor or higher degree in theology or Bible related degree.
  • Teaching Experience preferred.
  • ACSI teacher certification – able to obtain upon hire
  • 1stAid/CPR certification preferred – able to obtain upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver traditional classroom and online instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Establish & maintain appropriate & effective classroom management procedures.
  • Develop a rapport with students that motivates & fosters enthusiasm for learning.
  • Creatively integrate technology in the classroom to enhance learning.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve subject matter, grade-level & school goals.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on student work in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate & complete records of student progress & attendance in database.
  • Maintain up-to-date lesson plans via administration approved channel.
  • Participate in a multi-night overnight 9th-12th retreat (typically August).
  • Provide leadership for other overnight trips as requested.
  • Professionally communicate necessary information regularly to students, team members and parents regarding student progress and disciplinary matters.
  • Comply with all policies, practices and procedures.
  • Participate in weekly chapel & family groups.
  • Perform before and after school duties as assigned each semester.
  • Work to ensure that confidentiality is maintained by faculty and staff as it pertains to student discipline, academic struggles or staff issues.
  • Participate in other CCS events as assigned or requested by Principal.
