About The Position
This is a full-time teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, standards-based lessons, creating a positive classroom environment, assessing student progress, and communicating with parents. Collaboration with colleagues and participation in professional development are also key aspects of the role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Valid teaching certificate for the State of Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons across core subject areas.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs.
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to enhance student success.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and student engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school events.
