Responsibilities

Deliver lessons using culturally-responsive pedagogical strategies to support academic and social-emotional growth.
Prepare and internalize curriculum, creating engaging unit and lesson plans.
Administer, grade, and analyze student assessments to inform instruction.
Maintain accurate and organized student records.
Utilize the Responsive Classroom approach to foster a positive classroom culture.
Foster an environment built on restorative practices, encouraging positive student relationships and harm repair.
Collaborate with colleagues across content areas and grade levels.
Attend and actively participate in professional development, PLCs, and grade-level meetings.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences and maintain ongoing parent communication.
Ensure student safety at all times.
Assist with non-instructional supervision of students (arrival/dismissal, hallways, lunch, playground, extracurriculars).
Attend field trips.
Actively engage in identity work to dismantle white supremacy culture.
