About The Position

School in the Square is seeking a dedicated, mission-aligned Elementary ICT/ Special Education Teacher for their Dual Language PreK-5th grade program. This role is focused on providing students with the tools and support to become lifelong learners within a creative, bilingual immersion program that emphasizes Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). The teacher will report to the Principal and collaborate with the School Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure high academic standards and address the social-emotional needs of all students. The ideal candidate believes that all students can thrive in a challenging, high-quality, nurturing, and supportive learning environment and has a passion for bilingual immersion.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant content area.
  • Current possessor of a valid New York State Teaching Special Education Certification or willing to enroll in a New York State Teaching Certification Program and obtain such Certification within two years.
