About The Position

The Upholstery Trimmer is responsible for making, repairing, or replacing outside work. This role involves fitting, installing, and securing fabric material on wooden frames using hand and power tools. Key tasks include aligning parts and fabric to ensure proper assembly and quality levels, applying fabric/poly to furniture frames, and performing own repairs while maintaining quality, efficiency, and production standards. The trimmer will also use a computer/scan gun for production tracking and is expected to maintain a clean workstation and tools.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of furniture trimming experience.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to deliver uncompromising quality and detailed craftsmanship.
• Must be flexible to work overtime when required.
• Able to stand for 10 hours.
• Able to use hand tools/air tools/staple gun for 10 hours.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• LEAN Manufacturing experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Upholstery Trimmer makes, repairs, or replaces outside work.

• Applying fabric/poly to furniture frames by means of hand tools.
• Fixing own repairs while ensuring quality, efficiency, and production levels
• Using a computer/scan gun to scan work for production tracking.
• Maintaining clean/neat workstation
• Maintaining tools in working condition
• All other duties as assigned.
