Upholstery Technician
About The Position
The Upholstery Technician learns to upholster commercial furniture, positioning, stretching, and securing fabric to furniture frames. The role uses hand tools, pneumatic staplers, and production equipment and involves following instructions, meeting quality standards, inspecting finished work, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and meeting daily production goals as part of a team. No upholstery or furniture manufacturing experience is required; training is available. The position is located in Greenville, North Carolina. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; and Saturday, 7:00 AM–12:00 PM during busy season. Breaks include a 30-minute lunch and two 10-minute breaks. Occasional Saturday work may be required during busy production periods. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour, with production incentives offering the opportunity to earn up to $25.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
- Comfort performing hands-on, repetitive work while standing for most of the shift.
- Ability to bend, reach, pull, stretch, and lift as required.
