About The Position

Sew pre-cut vinyl together to make a skin for multiple departments in the production process. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions to ensure the quality standards of Malibu boats are met. The position involves standard housekeeping duties and adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• General knowledge of operating a sewing machine.
• Ability to read and execute build instructions from work orders.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read measuring devices.
• Basic math functions required.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two- step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Demonstrate teamwork, motivation, quality, attendance/punctuality, and dependability.

Nice To Haves

• Must be very detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schedules for daily production requirements.
• Inspect pre-cut vinyl and pre-sewn cord for flaws before sewing.
• Sew with the correct seam allowance to meet quality standards.
• Perform standard housekeeping duties.
• Adhere to Malibu's safety policies and procedures.
