This role involves preparing the backing materials and supplies for upholstery parts.

  • Must have good hand-eye – coordination.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
  • Must be able to work effectively as an individual or with a team.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly.
  • Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Sprays industrial adhesive to pre-cut foam and applies the foam to Sintra or expanded PVC parts.
  • Glues plastic to foam and trim edges with a foam knife.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly.
  • Follow the instruction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead.
  • Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
  • Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.
  • Help unload supply trucks.
  • Repair damaged parts when necessary.
  • Read orders and identify parts that are needed to maintain the production schedule.
