The Upholstery Assembler position is responsible for putting the vinyl covers on the production and warranty furniture components and securing them in place. This role involves installing vinyl covers on furniture parts using various stretching, pulling, and shaping techniques, and stapling the covers to the furniture parts using air-powered stapling equipment. The assembler will also inspect the finished product for quality upon completion and perform various manual assembly operations such as trimming, hinge installation, and foam gluing. Additionally, the role includes collecting foam pieces in bundles and operating and performing daily cleaning and maintenance on various assembly machines such as snap, hydem embossing, heat transfer, and screen printing.
