About The Position

GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is hiring Upholsterers for a respected manufacturing company in Newberg, Oregon. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and are looking for a consistent three-day work week with long weekends, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career. The schedule is Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM, totaling 36 scheduled hours per week with 12.5-hour shifts. The first 10 hours of each shift are paid at the regular hourly rate, with the additional 2 hours paid at time and a half. Requirements

• 1–2 years of manufacturing or upholstery experience preferred.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and use your hands throughout the shift.
• Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and respiratory protection when required.

Responsibilities

• Upholster seating and equipment using foam, vinyl, adhesives, and hand tools.
• Glue foam to armatures and prepare components for assembly.
• Form, glue, and staple upholstery materials to finished products.
• Assemble and package completed seating products.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Work closely with team members to maintain production goals.
• Follow all safety procedures while keeping your work area clean and organized.
