About The Position

Responsible for the complete deconstruction and reconstruction of property furnishings, as required, and on a timely basis as well as maintaining the materials needed for this activity. Examine furniture frames, upholstery, springs, and webbing to locate defects. Tear down of property furniture to prepare for refinishing. Determine best way to reconstruct property furnishings to include evaluation of need to cut, sew, staple, use adhesives, etc. and the selection of appropriate fabrics as dictated by clean ability, use, and function. On a case-by-case basis, recognize design flaws, taking into consideration customer safety, wear ability, etc., and reconstruct accordingly. Maintain project timeline and estimate costs for all projects. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Minimum of 3 years varied construction experience with background in garments and home décor.
Good math skills.
Ability to take and read measurements.
Knowledge of construction materials.
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
Proficient and able to safely and effectively use air tools, hand tools, sewing machines, and staple pullers.
Physical requirements include reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

High School Diploma preferred.
