Requirements

• 1+ years of upholstery experience in furniture manufacturing preferred (entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude will be considered)
• Ability to use hand tools and pneumatic tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with different fabric types, leather applications, and pattern matching preferred
• Basic understanding of production metrics and efficiency standards preferred

Responsibilities

• Upholster furniture frames (sofas, sectionals, chairs, and accent pieces) according to company specifications and quality standards
• Apply fabric, leather, and webbing using hand tools and pneumatic equipment (e.g., staple guns)
• Read and follow work orders, build sheets, and production schedules accurately
• Ensure proper fabric alignment, tension, and finish to meet quality expectations
• Inspect materials and completed work for defects; escalate issues as needed
• Maintain consistent production output to meet daily and weekly targets
• Support team goals by collaborating with adjacent departments (woodshop, foam, assembly)
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workstation
• Participate in training, cross-training, and continuous improvement efforts
