As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for the upfit of trucks, as well as fabricating, repairing, maintaining, and installing steel items and equipment. The assembly must be completed according to the goals set by the Production Manager. You will do this by assembling basic equipment and products under close supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures. You will read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. You will meet production schedule deadlines as designated by the Production Manager, perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards, and identify and document product defects. You will also perform all necessary documentation in a timely manner, confer with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems, and rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes. All work will be performed in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures, and you will maintain a clean and safe work area.
