You’ll leverage your specialized knowledge and expertise in uncrewed systems and marine mammals, including applying scientific and engineering principles, criteria, and techniques to identify and assess threat system safety hazards and inform the implementation of mitigations to reduce warfighter risk. As a Maritime System Technician, you'll enjoy a dynamic team environment of client and contractor staff while executing research and development of robotic and uncrewed systems across multiple operational domains and mission areas. You'll apply extensive technical expertise and complete industry knowledge. Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Experience with submarine deployment and operational tempo
  • Experience working with U.S. Navy commands and personnel
  • Knowledge of critical torpedo room layout and functionality
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct system safety hazard analyses and risk assessments for identifying hazards.
  • Utilize hazard tracking systems.
  • Prepare system safety risk acceptance documents.
  • Present to DoD system safety review boards.
  • Write information papers and concepts of operation (CONOPs).
  • Stand up and field specialized maritime equipment.
  • Deliver reference-based and hands-on training to DoD personnel for unmanned maritime systems.
  • Apply extensive technical expertise and complete industry knowledge.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Work without considerable direction.
  • Mentor and supervise team members.
  • Organize, schedule, and facilitate technical meetings and working groups.
  • Analyze, research, assess, and organize technical data into cohesive and clear technical reports and presentations.
