About The Position

Quanex is looking for an Unlicensed Electrician - 1st shift to join their team in Owatonna, Minnesota. In this role, the electrician will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance and repair of company equipment. They will also perform or assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems. The schedule for the 1st shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Requirements

Vo-tech electrical training program, mechatronics, robotics, construction electrician or minimum two years industrial electrical experience.
Must possess own tools.
Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
Must have skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, schematic drawings, and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

Install new machinery, fixtures and necessary electric, plumbing and related hook-ups for the equipment to become fully operational.
Work with licensed electrician to gain knowledge pertaining to earning Class A Journeyman or Maintenance Electrician licensing with the goal of earning that license.
Diagnose problems and repair equipment as promptly as possible to minimize downtime.
Determine repair parts and supplies as needed.
