About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician on 1st Shift (6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Thursday with weekends per business need) to support electrical systems across our manufacturing facility. In this hands-on role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for plant electrical systems, including production, packaging, and facility equipment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical and control systems to maximize equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. This position has a base hourly rate of $38.00–$40.00, plus applicable shift differential, based on skills and experience.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
3+ years of experience in industrial electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems
Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
Knowledge of NEC, OSHA standards, and electrical safety practices (including hazardous classifications such as Class I, Div. 1 preferred)
Experience using a CMMS for maintenance tracking and documentation
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and teamwork skills with a strong customer-service mindset
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

technical or trade school certification preferred
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix) and HMI systems preferred
Familiarity with cGMP or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and repair low- and high-voltage (single and three-phase) industrial electrical and control systems across production lines and facility equipment (e.g., compressors, boilers, pumps, water systems, lighting)
Diagnose and repair electrical and control issues including motors, drives, sensors, relays, PLCs, and 24VDC to 480VAC systems (primarily Allen-Bradley; some Siemens)
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and respond to electrical breakdowns with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime
Interpret, modify, and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation, ensuring all changes are properly recorded
Plan and execute electrical projects, including upgrades, installations, and improvements, with or without guidance from engineering or leadership
Size circuits and install conduit in accordance with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes
Upgrade outdated or unsafe electrical systems to improve safety, reliability, and standardization
Support and standardize plant electrical components and controls, with a focus on Allen-Bradley platforms
Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC and HMI systems, including conversion of relay-based systems to PLC controls when applicable
Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment to identify root causes
Document work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities in the CMMS.
Partner with operations and maintenance teams to improve uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency
Follow all Health & Safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), GMP, PPE, and environmental requirements
Serve as a key member of the plant emergency response team
